Qinna (Joint Locking)

In Chinese, Qin means to catch and na means to control. In Tai Chi we practice lots of joint locking but we emphasize on not breaking the joint. The reason for this is very practical. We don’t want to hurt our Kung Fu brothers and sisters! By practicing without injury, we are able to practice very often, doing each technique thousands of times. This ensures accuracy and skill.
